HONOURS were even as Cirencester Town's first trip to the Jubilee Stadium ended in a goalless stalemate.

Not even the threat of a twin-pronged former Centurion strikeforce in the home ranks could deter the visitors from gaining their second successive point.

Both Carl Brown and Marcus Palmer had chances to give the Robins the lead, but the two former Cirencester strikers wasted their opportunities.

In fact, in a game short on goalscoring opportunities it was the visitors who came closest to stealing victory.

Defender Ellis Dunton headed against the crossbar in the first half after Leigh Henry and Ben Wells also went close.

Evesham keeper Tom Cross saved well from Aiden Bennett as Cirencester pressed and it was the visitors who looked the likelier scorers before the referee called time on a battling draw.
