FRESH from her double success at the Great British R&B Festival, musician Chantel McGregor is heading to the Guildhall in Gloucester on Sunday, October 6.
Chantel was presented with two awards, Guitarist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year, at the high-profile awards ceremony in Colne, Lancashire. Her success there came after previous successes when she was voted Female Vocalist of the Year in 2012 and Young Artist of the Year in 2011.
At the age of eight, musical prodigy Chantel became the youngest person in the country to pass a Rock school exam.
She later moved on from her native Bradford to enrol at Leeds College of Music – where she became the first student in the college's history to achieve a 100 per cent pass mark.
She left with a First Class Honours degree in Popular Music as well as a coveted prize for outstanding musicianship. Chantel said: "Playing live to great audiences is one of the most wonderful feelings.
"I feel so lucky to be able to do something that I love, see the world and bring happiness to others through my music"
Chantel's debut album is Like No Other.
