Cheltenham Town will play Plymouth Argyle at home in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
The tie will be played during the week commencing September 2.
It is the third time the two clubs have been paired together in the competition.
Cheltenham knocked the Pilgrims out in 2001/02 at the first hurdle, winning 2-1 at Whaddon Road thanks to goals from Jamie Victory and Julian Alsop.
But Argyle exacted revenge in 2010/11 with a 2-0 victory in the second round after the Robins were handed a bye at the opening stage.
Their goals came from Steve MacLean and Craig Noone.
