TRY getting in to the Christmas spirit proper with a concert by Cirencester chamber choir Cantores.
They sing at Cirencester Parish Church on December 1, the day the Christmas market opens.
Expect works from Palestrina, Samuel Wesley, Mendelssohn and Bach, plus modern compositions from BBC Proms favourite Eric Whitacre.
"Why not make it a day out with Christmas lights, mince pies and some shopping too?" said Cantores director John Holloway. "Cirencester's ice rink opens that day, and just think of a afternoon's exercise followed by an evening's relaxation listening to our beautiful music."
Tickets cost £10 from 01285 867311.
