Pilot wannabes will be flying high on New Year’s Day at the Jet Age Museum’s family fun day.
Children will get the chance to sit in a real jet fighter cockpit, go on a treasure hunt and take part in a colouring competition.
Model making demonstrations, Vulcan bomber cockpit tours and Biggles the play plane will all be providing entertainment at the Meteor Business Park in Gloucestershire Airport.
The event, which runs from 10am until 4pm, will also teach kids about the theory of flight.
The Staverton-based museum, which opened in August, will be celebrating the start of year.
Last year the museum saw more than 4,000 visitors and generated in excess of £17,000 in sales, membership and donation.
The museum is based at Gloucestershire Airport’s Meteor Business Park.
