TERRIBLE weather was not enough to stop a Bambi's Childcare charity bash from being a complete success.

It was the second Ladies Day event run by Carla Roberts and Lucy Herbert since they created the business in October and Carla said it was "the best event to date".

She said: "Despite the weather, we were very pleased with the turnout.

"Lots of people did not want to take the risk due to the flooding in Gloucester, but we are happy with how it went."

There were many highlights at the event which included the Bodywrap demonstration, Get Milky clothing and the Actiderm skin care.

Carla added: "We are a new business and it was fantastic to get support from the stalls."
