RACING driver Zoe Wenham (pictured) has been selected to represent the UK in the selection shootout at the German VW Scirocco-R Cup scholarship.
The 19-year-old from Tewkesbury will go up against 11 other women from around the world for a fully-funded 2014 season supporting the German Touring Car Championship in 2014.
The scholarship is running at Oschersleben in Germany until Saturday.
The selected candidates range from 16 to 26 years old and have been chosen to represent their countries in the shootout. The list consists of drivers from around the world including Australia, USA, Hungary, Italy and South Africa.
Wenham, 19, who has raced in the British GT4 championship for the past two seasons and who has previously competed in the UK VW Cup Championship, said: "Being the chosen sole entrant from the UK and then making the selection for the shootout is fantastic. "It is an amazing championship and t puts you in front of all the right people."
