GLOUCESTER's A Squad travelled to Radstock in North Somerset to contest three nine-a-side matches in a two-hour festival format, winning two and drawing one.

Gloucester's first encounter was against a technically very good Torbay side who were much the better team during the first period, despite Gilkes giving the city team an early lead with a well struck free kick.

Torbay led 2-1 at the interval, but Berry levelled matters early in the second period and though the Devon team continued to pass the ball impressively, Webb's excellent run almost led to a late Gloucester winner.

The second match against Bath A saw Basford turn in Cronin's cross for a second minute opener, before the Gloucester captain worked the space on the right to set up Cronin for the second and Gilkes later drove in a third.

Kyffin, Rigby Mitchell and Gilkes again worked the ball out well from the back, initiating many of Gloucester's better moves and the victory was completed through a fine second half run and finish from Drewett and a late strike from Berry for 5-0.

After conceding an immediate opener against Bath B, Gloucester made light work of winning their third outing once Douce had set up Basford for an immediate equaliser.

Mace played in Douce to put Gloucester ahead before setting up Webb to finish well for 3-1.

Cronin added a fourth just before the break, while Mace volleyed in an attempted clearance three minutes after the interval.

The Gloucester midfielder was again involved in providing Douce with the opportunity of extending the lead, before fine interplay from Drewett and Basford saw the latter net his second of the game to complete the scoring.

Gloucester: Gardner-Medwin; Berry, Kyffin, Gilkes, Rigby Mitchell, Collins, Douce, Basford, Mace, Drewett, Cronin, Webb.
