HUCCLECOTE Harriers produced a spirited and strong performance against league rivals Quedgeley in this friendly fixture.

Harriers started with a new formation and tested players in new positions and a strong start saw them retain possession and look strong in defence.

A new midfield line-up of Oliver Moore, David Euliarte and Sonny Burge coped well with Quedgeley's direct style and played themselves into the game as the visitors found it hard to settle on the ball.

Chances were few, but Hucclecote's attack started to come into the game as the half went on with Tyrese Sadler-Lewis finding the chance to test a good Quedgeley keeper.

Late into the first half, a lack of numbers at the back saw Quedgeley break away to leave Jamie Clifford exposed and unable to stop the score moving to 1-0.

Hucclecote turned round in the second half and increasingly came into the game as Jack Holford and Euliarte found more space down the right hand side to attack.

Chances began to come as Hucclecote camped in the Quedgeley half with Moore, Sadler-Lewis and Burge all testing the keeper. At the other end, Alex Milner in goal for Hucclecote looked safe and secure

With five minutes left, Hucclecote produced the best move of the match when a strong run from Holford down the right took him over the half way line. He switched the ball left to Moore who first time played the ball into the path of Josh McGill who took the ball from under his feet and fired a shot home low to the keeper's left.
